PT BOOSTER CLUB POLICY
The PT Booster Club is an organization instrumental in establishing informal relationships between athletes from the Prairie Thunder Hockey Team and their fans. These relationships are formed by activities such as “Adopt a House” where members interact with players off the ice. These relationships are based on a mutual love of the game of hockey and an appreciation of the athlete’s ability. At all times these relationships should be appropriate, comfortable, and enjoyable. If at any time a situation occurs that causes a player to feel uncomfortable, appropriate steps should be taken to alleviate this unacceptable behavior. The following are recommended steps to be taken in such a situation:
1) The player shall document dates, times and unacceptable situations in writing.
2) If at all possible the player should make the initial complaint themselves to the individual causing the inappropriate behavior.
3) If a player feels uncomfortable making the initial complaint, or the initial complaint is ignored, then the player should notify a Booster Club Board representative and apprise them of the situation.
4) Once the situation has been brought to the Board’s attention, a confidential meeting with the member will occur. If the meeting shows that inappropriate behavior has taken place, that member will lose their rights of membership from the PT Booster Club with no refund.
The PT Booster Club was formed as a way to support the Prairie Thunder Hockey team. The PT Booster Club is in no way responsible for the personal actions of each individual member.
